We recently had the writer of “Green Been Food” stay.
Here is an extract.
recently we stayed @ happy valley retreat, stanthorpe for 3 nights…..on our second morning puddles had frozen over as the temperature had gone down to -3 degrees overnight…..we felt only cosy though as each of the cabins has a fire with plenty of wood to burn + i have a theory (i am not alone) that red wine tastes better when you are beside a fire & wonderfully warm! …..
their sunday breakfast was excellent – the free range eggs delicious & hollandaise to match was seriously good!….the kids room @ the homestead is really handy & allows the parents to have some quiet (should they need it).
our love of stanthorpe lives on!

What a lovely place….the service is wonderful, the surrounds beautiful and the food is scrumptious! It looks like a lovely little get away for anyone wanting to get away from it all or just to have a relaxing break. Congratulations on your 1st year…..we’ll be back and we’ll certainly pass on our experience to family and friends.
